Trip to Canada's Wonderland

Thursday is our trip to Canada's Wonderland. Here are some things you will need to know.

-the bus leaves at 9 am. Please be on time or you will miss the bus.
-wear your Phys. Ed. uniform
-wear a hat
-wear sunscreen - teachers will not apply sunscreen - students must come to school with sunscreen already applied
-you must bring money for lunch as Canada's Wonderland will not permit lunches to be brought in
 This is what is stated on the Canada's Wonderland website:
"The safety of our guests and associates is our number one priority. We need your assistance in an effort to make the park entry process as efficient as possible. Here's how you can help:
Please leave all non-essential purses, backpacks, book bags, fanny packs and other bags and packages at home or locked in the trunk of your car.
You will be asked to open purses, backpacks or other bags for inspection upon entry.
Please note that food and drinks MAY NOT be brought into the park. Plastic bottled water is permitted."

-lunch is expensive. Please send $10 for lunch. If you wish your child to have a snack or extra drink throughout the day please send $15

What to Wear?

Tuesday - Casual Day
Wednesday - Regular uniform
Graduation (Wednesday at 7 pm) - Girls - dress, Boys - pants (no shorts please) and a collared shirt
Thursday - Canada's Wonderland - Phys. Ed. uniform
Friday (half day)  - Casual clothes

SK Homework

Please note that there is no more homework for SK students.

Reading Homework

Grade one students are being sent home with two booklets. Please have your child read the booklets this week. There are no questions to answer as Arts Night is this Wednesday. The booklets are yours to keep.

Arts Night

Please have your child at SJA by 6:30 - 6:45 pm at the latest.

What to wear?
Carter - please come dressed as a farmer
Jessica - please come dressed as a farmer's wife
Ephraim - please come dressed as a farm boy
Victoria - please come dressed as a farm girl
Julia and Olivia - please wear a purple top or dress
Everryone else - please come dressed in smart casual clothes

Spelling

This week is a review week. There are no new spelling words. There are no more spelling tests this year.

Upcoming Events

Arts Night is Wednesday, June 2 at 7 pm. Your child will be performing a play on stage. Your child should wear smart casual clothing. Your child's art work will also be display. Please invite friends and family.

Graduation is Wednesday, June 9 at 7 pm. Your child will be receiving a certificate for successfully completing their grade. Some awards will also be given out. Most of the awards will be given out on Friday, June 11 during our last assembly of the year.

The last day of school is June 11. Please note that this is a half-day only. Pick-up time is 12 pm. After school care begins at 12 pm. Please let us know if you require after school care for that day.
